How much time will it take to learn a new language with Rosetta Stone?

The program is self-paced, and each learner is different. However, you can expect that it will take approximately 40-50 hours to complete the content in each level of the program. Individual lessons may take from 5 minutes up to 30 minutes, depending on the specific activity within the program. Even if you have only a few minutes to spare, it is easy to fit Rosetta Stone into your schedule.

How Do I Activate the Online Subscription?

Your course activation code will be emailed to you. Check your email for you code and then go to the Rosetta Stone Product Activation page. You'll be asked to enter your email and activation code.

What's the recommended age for this product?

There is no age requirement to use Rosetta Stone. Rosetta Stone recommends a child be at least at a beginning reading and writing level before starting the program.

How Long is a Subscription Good For?

The subscription is valid for the duration of access you purchase: 6-months or 12-months. Access to Online features is limited to one user.

How are the lessons constructed?

Rosetta Stone® Language Training is divided into units with lessons and focused activities. Core lessons will teach you your new language, while focused activities build skills and reinforce the language you've learned. There are four core lessons and a Milestone within one unit. There are four units per level.

Can I get a foreign-language credit for Rosetta Stone courses?

Many colleges require at least two years of high school-level foreign language study. Since Rosetta Stone is not a school, it is not accredited, and cannot award credits. Check with your local school for your state's standards if you have concerns about credit transferability; however, many accredited schools and universities use Rosetta Stone and it is widely accepted.
